Competition Law
Competition law protects free commerce against unfair competition and restraints of competition. At the heart of Austrian competition law is the Act against Unfair Competition (UWG).
We have more than 20 years of experience in competition law – in court and in the run-up to court disputes. For instance, we review our clients’ advertising statements in advance for their legal admissibility. Where necessary, we assert our clients’ rights in the prosecution and defence of anti-competitive acts by their competitors before the courts, in the form of preliminary injunctions, cease-and-desist actions and claims for damages. We have particular expertise in the fields of analogue & digital media, logistics, the food and beverages industry, and postal services.
